Job Description
First Level Licensure Therapist
Hourly Rate: $27.70 to $35.20 per hour, DOE
A Child’s Voice is a mental health agency designed to meet the mental health needs of infants, toddlers, and their families. We provide services that will increase attachment and bonding between parent and child, heal trauma, and promote the healthy emotional and social development of our clients. Our goals are to decrease risk factors for abuse and neglect and improve outcomes for children with existing mental health concerns.
Primary Responsibilities:
1) A full- time clinician is required to submit 30 billed hours weekly.
a. Billable hours are counted as individual, family, and group therapy. Other billable hours include court appearances with a subpoena, and provider meetings, as long as the parent or legal guardian is present.
2) In collaboration with the family, develop a treatment plan goals, objectives and interventions that address their assessed behavioral health needs.
3) Provide individual, family and group therapy services.
4) Provide coordinated care by initiating or participating in provider meetings with other agencies or individuals involved in the family’s care. (i.e. CYFD, GAL, daycare, preschool, school, etc.)
5) Complete progress notes within 48 hours of service.
6) Reassess and review treatment progress with clients and their families at prescribed intervals.
7) Assist in establishing effective communication between A Child’s Voice, other agencies serving the client, and the community.
8) Testify in court when subpoenaed and act as an advocate for the client’s best interests.
9) Other duties as assigned.
Performance Requirements:
1) Follow directions given by supervisor.
2) Adhere to A Child’s Voice Policies and Procedures.
3) Meet and exceed all agency quality and compliance standards by accurately completing clinical documentation and service reporting in a timely manner.
4) Meet and exceed all HIPAA standards.
5) Meet productivity expectations.
6) Attend staff meetings.
7) Participate in regular weekly supervision and in performance appraisals as required.
8) Complete incident reports as applicable.

5) Ability to competently testify in court regarding the treatment provided, and provide a therapeutic opinion regarding client’s best interests
Education/Experience:
1) Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related discipline required.
2) Hold a valid professional license from the State of New Mexico
3) Basic computer and typing skills
Schedule:
1) Full- time Non-Exempt
2) May work a flexible schedule in response to the needs of the target population served, including evening and Saturday hours.
